Meet Mandy

Amanda Chiarieri, Principal

Mandy is happy to be working with high school students and their families. She finds great reward in working with students to discover and showcase all their best attributes, easing the application process and transition to college. She believes the college search is a time of great growth and that students can emerge from the process with great self-awareness: they will be more confident in their abilities and ready to take the next phase head on.

Mandy has a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. She completed Life Coach training with the International Coach Federation in 2005 and was awarded a Certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California - Irvine in March 2021. Mandy relentlessly pursues continuing education in all facets of the ever-changing college admissions landscape: campus visits, conferences, essay writing, financial aid, the political landscape of higher education, parenting the college student, learning differences, mental health challenges of young adults, etc.

Mandy has volunteered extensively in various education arenas: PTA, PTA Council, Glenview Education Foundation, Glenview Public Library Foundation, and the College and Career Center at Glenbrook South High School. She also takes on pro bono students annually through ScholarMatch and Matchlighter community-based organizations in hopes of expanding college accessibility.

She is a Professional Member of the IECA (Independent Educational Consultant Association), whose mission is “To promote the highest quality independent educational consulting to students and families seeking skilled, ethical, academic or therapeutic guidance; to enhance professional development, and to foster career satisfaction among members.” She is currently the Chairperson for the IECA Chicago/Illinois Regional Group.  She most recently completed IECA’s 2025 Business Growth Institute.

Mandy lives in Glenview, Illinois with her husband, two daughters (Notre Dame Class of 2024 and Boston University Class of 2026), a son (Wake Forest Class of 2026), and her dog, Murray.
