Full Service College Consulting

Enjoy your student’s high school years!

You’ve helped your student navigate the ups and downs of their childhood years.

Let us help you prepare them for the next phase! We complete the process in two stages:

Stage One: Discovery

  • Continuously educate families on the college admissions landscape

  • Assist with high school course, extracurricular, and summer program selection

  • Provide personality/career assessment inventory, results interpretation, and reflection opportunities

  • Assist with research into careers, majors and specific programming within student’s areas of academic interest

  • Assist with selection of recommendation letter writers

  • Develop a working college list and guide students through formal college research, providing the most current information about colleges and best judgement about available programs

  • Suggest appropriate deadline strategy and selection (Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision)

  • Provide general information and guidance on financial and merit aid

  • Provide college visit guidance

Stage Two: Application

  • Provide appropriate timeline and task list based on college list application deadlines and guidance to keep students on track

  • Assist with activity list development as well as resume development, if necessary

  • Provide customized personal statement and supplemental essay topic brainstorming, development, and editing

  • Assist with interview prep, if necessary

  • Assist with honors college and scholarship applications, if necessary

  • Advise on formal application follow up and deferment/waitlist strategy

  • Assist with final college selection

We provide a free consultation with parents to discuss your family’s needs and share how we can help. We ideally like to begin working with students and/or parents on course and extracurricular selection as early as their initial high school course selection in the winter of 8th grade.  At this time, it may be too soon for students to feel comfortable working directly with us, but we are happy to consult with parents to help them guide the best choices in academics and extracurriculars.  We officially begin working with students on the Discovery process in the spring of sophomore year.
